With Inveruglas said to have some of the the best views over Loch Lomond, a large wooden pyramid named An Ceann Mor was built in 2015 close to the visitor centre, looking down the loch to the 3,196ft Ben Lomond mountain.

There are stairs to the top of this 25ft high pyramid that allow even better photos down the loch.

Birds of prey to look out for in the area are Golden Eagle, Osprey and Buzzard.

The Inversnaid Hotel is situated across the loch on the remote east side. The hotel has a passenger ferry that runs between Inveruglas and Inversnaid. You have to phone the hotel to arrange a ferry on the short crossing.
