Argyle
Street is about 2 miles long,
running from the Kelvingrove area in
the west, passes under Glasgow Central
Train Staion, then runs straight along
to the Trongate in the east. The main
shopping part of Argyle Street, is from
Central Station to the Trongate, about
700 yards, with about half being
pedestrian only.
The Argyle Arcade
is on the left side of Argyle Street,
when walking west to east, not far
along from Central Station. This arcade
has about 30 jewellers and diamond
merchants, largest concentration of
diamonds in Scotland.
The vast St Enoch Centre is on
Argyle street, on the right when
walking west to east, not far along
from Central Station, with over 100
stores and a wide range of Fast Food
outlets.
