Mary Ann's Cottage is in the small village
of Dunnet, 12 miles west of John O Groats, 9 miles east of
Thurso,
on the far north coast of Scotland.
This is a Cottage built in 1850 by John
Young that has changed little since then, with
his grand-daughter Mary Ann living in the
Cottage til 1990. She died in a nursing home in
1996, aged 99.
The Cottage is normaly open for visits June
to September Daily 2:00 to 4.30 except on
Tuesdays when it's 10.00 am to 4:30pm.

Beach is about a 1 mile walk north along
the coast from Dwarwick Pier by the
Cottage.
Dunnet Head, furthest north point in
Scotland, is 5 miles north. You will see signs
in the village of Dunnet for the Cottage and
Dunnet Head, Satnav and Google Maps helps as
well.
