Ceannabeinne Beach is situated on the north
coast of Scotland, 3 miles east of Durness, 87
miles west of John O
Groats.
The Beach is popular for lazing around,
swimming, walking on the Township Trail, and
the Zip Line that runs high above the Beach.

Golden Eagle Zip Lines are at the Beach with
amazing views as you travel across the gorge at

This is one of the most scenic beaches in
Scotland, right up there with some of the top
beaches on the south coast of Portugal / the
Algarve.
Other amazing beaches in this area are Farr
at Bettyhill 37 miles east, Sango Sands
at Durness 3 miles west, Balnakeil /
Faraid Head 2 miles west of Durness, and
Sandwood Bay 21 miles southwest of
Durness.
There is also a Township Trail a short
distance west of this Beach where you can walk
down to 3 other more remote Beaches.
There were 14 Cottages registered in this
area in 1841, with little remaining today.
Most people were encouraged by the Land
Owners to relocate to fishing towns, work in
mining, or to emigrate to America and Canada in
search of Land where they could make a better
living.
