The image top is of the Car Park for the
Coral Beach. The walk from the Car Park to the
Beach is under two miles out, about a 25 minute
walk.
The Car Park can be busy through the day in
summer, evenings may not be as busy.
The path runs over a small hill from where
you get your first view of the Beach.
At the north end of the Beach is a rocky
hill known as the Ghrobain, with great views
over the Beach, showing just how clear the sea
is in this area.
North of the rocky hill is a scenic
headland, well worth walking out too, only
about half of a mile from the beach.
There is a small Island about 150 yards
offshore from the Beach named Lampay. Very low
tides reveal a coral causeway that allows
access to the Island.
The road between Coral Beach and Sligachan
is one of the most scenic on Skye.
