There is a good Riverside Walk from Glasgow
centre out to the Science Centre, then to the
Clydeside Distillery
just across the footbridge, then to the
Riverside Museum half of a mile west,
then to the Goven Stones in Govan Church just
across the footbridge from the Riverside
Museum, then there are many inexpensive buses
from Govan 3 miles back to the city centre.
This is a Multi Complex with a Science Mall,
an IMAX Cinema, and the Glasgow Tower that
opened in 2001.
The Science Mall,
is over three floors, with over 250 interactive
exhibits, a Science Show Theatre, and the
Glasgow Science Centre Planetarium, that
projects images of the night sky onto a 49ft
diameter dome.
The IMAX Cinema,
seats 370 with a massive 82 feet by 62 feet
screen, that can also display 3D films.
The 416ft high Glasgow Tower, was designed
to give 360 degree views over the city of
Glasgow, Check the website before visiting as
can often be closed due to wind or repairs.

The huge car park costs about £10 for
up to 24 hours in 2026. This is where the
Waverley Paddle
Steamer departs from now, so the Science
Centre car park is used for that as well.
