May - Stirling Scottish Marathon full and half marathon at Stirling in central Scotland

May 19th - Scottish Islands Peaks Race Sailing and Fell Running teams the West Coast

May 27th - 28th - Edinburgh Marathon for professionals & amateurs in the city Edinburgh

June 3rd & 4th - Tough Mudder at Drumlanrig Castle 19 miles north of Dumfries by Thornhill, Map

July 7th - 9th - TRNSMT Festival - music festival at Glasgow Green in Glasgow, Map

July 13th - 16th - Scottish Open golf tournament at The Renaissance Club 23 miles east of Edinburgh. Map

July 16th - Scottish Festival of Motoring at Ingliston Royal Highland Centre by Edinburgh, Map

July 16th - 23rd - The Open golf tournament is at Royal Liverpool this year in England.

July 26th - 30th - the Senior Open is at Royal Porthcawl in Wales this year.

Aug 3rd - 5th - Fort William Mountain Bike Championship, at the Nevis Range by Fort William, Map

August 4th - 26th - Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo spectacular entertainment in Edinburgh

August 24th - 24th - Blair Castle Horse Trials at Blair Castle 34 miles north of Perth, Map

Sept 2nd - 10th - Largs Viking Festival at Largs 33 miles west of Glasgow.

Sept 21st - 23rd - Ayr Gold Cup, Scotland's top horse race flat meeting Ayr southwest

October 1st - Great Scottish Run - 10k&half marathon in Glasgow / George Square

October 1st - Loch Ness Marathon - starts from Bught Park on the south side of Inverness. Map

October 20th - 22nd - Scotland's Boat Show - at Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond, 27 miles northwest of Glasgow. Map
